Niguliste museum (Niguliste 3)
Alar Nurkse’s Lecture: “The Seen and the Unseen”. As part of the Medieval Days programme, the lecture “The Seen and the Unseen: A Conservator’s View of the Altarpieces of St. Nicholas’ Church” will be presented by Alar Nurkse, distinguished paintings conservator of the Estonian Art Museum. The lecture explores the conservation history of the high altarpiece of St. Nicholas’ Church, created in the workshop of Hermen Rode, and the Marian altarpiece attributed to the Master of the Legend of Saint Lucy of Bruges, tracing their preservation and restoration through the centuries (in Estonian)
